Al Baqarah 181 - 190
Al Baqarah (Cow Girl)
181
ﻓَﻤَﻦْۢ ﺑَﺪَّﻟَﻪٗ ﺑَﻌْﺪَﻣَﺎ ﺳَﻤِﻌَﻪٗ ﻓَﺎِﻧَّﻤَﺎٓ ﺍِﺛْﻤُﻪٗ ﻋَﻠَﻰ
ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﻳُﺒَﺪِّﻟُﻮْﻧَﻪٗ ۗ ﺍِﻥَّ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﺳَﻤِﻴْﻊٌ ﻋَﻠِﻴْﻢٌ ۗ
fa mam baddalahụ ba'da mā sami'ahụ fa
innamā iṡmuhụ 'alallażīna yubaddilụnah,
innallāha samī'un 'alīm
Whoever changes it (the will), after hearing it, then
his sin is only for the one who changes it. Indeed,
Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
182
ﻓَﻤَﻦْ ﺧَﺎﻑَ ﻣِﻦْ ﻣُّﻮْﺹٍ ﺟَﻨَﻔًﺎ ﺍَﻭْ ﺍِﺛْﻤًﺎ
ﻓَﺎَﺻْﻠَﺢَ ﺑَﻴْﻨَﻬُﻢْ ﻓَﻠَﺎٓ ﺍِﺛْﻢَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ۗ ﺍِﻥَّ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﻏَﻔُﻮْﺭٌ
ﺭَّﺣِﻴْﻢٌ
fa man khāfa mim mụṣin janafan au iṡman fa
aṣlaḥa bainahum fa lā iṡma 'alaīh, innallāha
gafụrur raḥīm
But whoever fears that the testator (applies) is
biased or wronged, then he makes peace between
them, then he is not guilty. Indeed, Allah is Most
Forgiving, Most Merciful.
183
ﻳٰٓﺎَﻳُّﻬَﺎ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﺍٰﻣَﻨُﻮْﺍ ﻛُﺘِﺐَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻜُﻢُ ﺍﻟﺼِّﻴَﺎﻡُ
ﻛَﻤَﺎ ﻛُﺘِﺐَ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﻣِﻦْ ﻗَﺒْﻠِﻜُﻢْ ﻟَﻌَﻠَّﻜُﻢْ
ﺗَﺘَّﻘُﻮْﻥَۙ
yā ayyuhallażīna āmanụ kutiba 'alaikumuṣ-
ṣiyāmu kamā kutiba 'alallażīna ming qablikum
la'allakum tattaqụn
O you who believe! Fasting has been made
obligatory on you as it was prescribed for those
before you so that you may become pious.
184
ﺍَﻳَّﺎﻣًﺎ ﻣَّﻌْﺪُﻭْﺩٰﺕٍۗ ﻓَﻤَﻦْ ﻛَﺎﻥَ ﻣِﻨْﻜُﻢْ ﻣَّﺮِﻳْﻀًﺎ ﺍَﻭْ
ﻋَﻠٰﻰ ﺳَﻔَﺮٍ ﻓَﻌِﺪَّﺓٌ ﻣِّﻦْ ﺍَﻳَّﺎﻡٍ ﺍُﺧَﺮَ ۗ ﻭَﻋَﻠَﻰ
ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﻳُﻄِﻴْﻘُﻮْﻧَﻪٗ ﻓِﺪْﻳَﺔٌ ﻃَﻌَﺎﻡُ ﻣِﺴْﻜِﻴْﻦٍۗ ﻓَﻤَﻦْ
ﺗَﻄَﻮَّﻉَ ﺧَﻴْﺮًﺍ ﻓَﻬُﻮَ ﺧَﻴْﺮٌ ﻟَّﻪٗ ۗ ﻭَﺍَﻥْ ﺗَﺼُﻮْﻣُﻮْﺍ
ﺧَﻴْﺮٌ ﻟَّﻜُﻢْ ﺍِﻥْ ﻛُﻨْﺘُﻢْ ﺗَﻌْﻠَﻤُﻮْﻥَ
ayyāmam ma'dụdāt, fa mang kāna mingkum
marīḍan au 'alā safarin fa 'iddatum min
ayyāmin ukhar, wa 'alallażīna yuṭīqụnahụ
fidyatun ṭa'āmu miskīn, fa man taṭawwa'a
khairan fa huwa khairul lah, wa an taṣụmụ
khairul lakum ing kuntum ta'lamụn
(That is) a certain number of days. So whoever of
you is ill or on a journey (then does not fast), then
(it is obligatory to change) as many days (which he
did not fast it) on other days. And for people who
are hard to run, it is obligatory to pay fidyah, which
is to feed a poor person. But whoever does good
willingly, it is better for him, and your fast is better
for you if you only knew.
185
ﺷَﻬْﺮُ ﺭَﻣَﻀَﺎﻥَ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻱْٓ ﺍُﻧْﺰِﻝَ ﻓِﻴْﻪِ ﺍﻟْﻘُﺮْﺍٰﻥُ ﻫُﺪًﻯ
ﻟِّﻠﻨَّﺎﺱِ ﻭَﺑَﻴِّﻨٰﺖٍ ﻣِّﻦَ ﺍﻟْﻬُﺪٰﻯ ﻭَﺍﻟْﻔُﺮْﻗَﺎﻥِۚ ﻓَﻤَﻦْ
ﺷَﻬِﺪَ ﻣِﻨْﻜُﻢُ ﺍﻟﺸَّﻬْﺮَ ﻓَﻠْﻴَﺼُﻤْﻪُ ۗ ﻭَﻣَﻦْ ﻛَﺎﻥَ
ﻣَﺮِﻳْﻀًﺎ ﺍَﻭْ ﻋَﻠٰﻰ ﺳَﻔَﺮٍ ﻓَﻌِﺪَّﺓٌ ﻣِّﻦْ ﺍَﻳَّﺎﻡٍ ﺍُﺧَﺮَ ۗ
ﻳُﺮِﻳْﺪُ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﺑِﻜُﻢُ ﺍﻟْﻴُﺴْﺮَ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﻳُﺮِﻳْﺪُ ﺑِﻜُﻢُ ﺍﻟْﻌُﺴْﺮَ ۖ
ﻭَﻟِﺘُﻜْﻤِﻠُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟْﻌِﺪَّﺓَ ﻭَﻟِﺘُﻜَﺒِّﺮُﻭﺍ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﻋَﻠٰﻰ ﻣَﺎ
ﻫَﺪٰﻯﻜُﻢْ ﻭَﻟَﻌَﻠَّﻜُﻢْ ﺗَﺸْﻜُﺮُﻭْﻥَ
syahru ramaḍānallażī unzila fīhil-qur`ānu
hudal lin-nāsi wa bayyinātim minal-hudā wal-
furqān, fa man syahida mingkumusy-syahra
falyaṣum-h, wa mang kāna marīḍan au 'alā
safarin fa 'iddatum min ayyāmin ukhar,
yurīdullāhu bikumul-yusra wa lā yurīdu
bikumul-'usra wa litukmilul-'iddata wa
litukabbirullāha 'alā mā hadākum wa
la'allakum tasykurụn
The month of Ramadan is (the month) in which the
Qur'an was revealed, as a guide for mankind and
explanations of that guidance and the difference
(between the true and the false). Therefore,
whoever of you is in that month, then fast. And
whoever is ill or on a journey (he does not fast),
then (it is obligatory to replace it), as many days as
he left, on other days. God wants ease for you, and
does not want hardship for you. You shall suffice
the number and glorify Allah for His guidance given
to you, that you may be grateful.
186
ﻭَﺍِﺫَﺍ ﺳَﺎَﻟَﻚَ ﻋِﺒَﺎﺩِﻱْ ﻋَﻨِّﻲْ ﻓَﺎِﻧِّﻲْ ﻗَﺮِﻳْﺐٌ ۗ
ﺍُﺟِﻴْﺐُ ﺩَﻋْﻮَﺓَ ﺍﻟﺪَّﺍﻉِ ﺍِﺫَﺍ ﺩَﻋَﺎﻥِۙ ﻓَﻠْﻴَﺴْﺘَﺠِﻴْﺒُﻮْﺍ
ﻟِﻲْ ﻭَﻟْﻴُﺆْﻣِﻨُﻮْﺍ ﺑِﻲْ ﻟَﻌَﻠَّﻬُﻢْ ﻳَﺮْﺷُﺪُﻭْﻥَ
wa iżā sa`alaka 'ibādī 'annī fa innī qarīb,
ujību da'watad-dā'i iżā da'āni falyastajībụ lī
walyu`minụ bī la'allahum yarsyudụn
And when My servants ask thee concerning Me, lo!
I am nigh. I grant the request of the person who
prays when he prays to Me. Let them obey Me and
believe in Me, that they may obtain the truth.
187
ﺍُﺣِﻞَّ ﻟَﻜُﻢْ ﻟَﻴْﻠَﺔَ ﺍﻟﺼِّﻴَﺎﻡِ ﺍﻟﺮَّﻓَﺚُ ﺍِﻟٰﻰ
ﻧِﺴَﺎۤﻯِٕﻜُﻢْ ۗ ﻫُﻦَّ ﻟِﺒَﺎﺱٌ ﻟَّﻜُﻢْ ﻭَﺍَﻧْﺘُﻢْ ﻟِﺒَﺎﺱٌ ﻟَّﻬُﻦَّ ۗ
ﻋَﻠِﻢَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﺍَﻧَّﻜُﻢْ ﻛُﻨْﺘُﻢْ ﺗَﺨْﺘَﺎﻧُﻮْﻥَ ﺍَﻧْﻔُﺴَﻜُﻢْ
ﻓَﺘَﺎﺏَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻜُﻢْ ﻭَﻋَﻔَﺎ ﻋَﻨْﻜُﻢْ ۚ ﻓَﺎﻟْـٰٔﻦَ ﺑَﺎﺷِﺮُﻭْﻫُﻦَّ
ﻭَﺍﺑْﺘَﻐُﻮْﺍ ﻣَﺎ ﻛَﺘَﺐَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﻟَﻜُﻢْ ۗ ﻭَﻛُﻠُﻮْﺍ ﻭَﺍﺷْﺮَﺑُﻮْﺍ
ﺣَﺘّٰﻰ ﻳَﺘَﺒَﻴَّﻦَ ﻟَﻜُﻢُ ﺍﻟْﺨَﻴْﻂُ ﺍﻟْﺎَﺑْﻴَﺾُ ﻣِﻦَ
ﺍﻟْﺨَﻴْﻂِ ﺍﻟْﺎَﺳْﻮَﺩِ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟْﻔَﺠْﺮِۖ ﺛُﻢَّ ﺍَﺗِﻤُّﻮﺍ
ﺍﻟﺼِّﻴَﺎﻡَ ﺍِﻟَﻰ ﺍﻟَّﻴْﻞِۚ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺗُﺒَﺎﺷِﺮُﻭْﻫُﻦَّ ﻭَﺍَﻧْﺘُﻢْ
ﻋَﺎﻛِﻔُﻮْﻥَۙ ﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟْﻤَﺴٰﺠِﺪِ ۗ ﺗِﻠْﻚَ ﺣُﺪُﻭْﺩُ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﻓَﻠَﺎ
ﺗَﻘْﺮَﺑُﻮْﻫَﺎۗ ﻛَﺬٰﻟِﻚَ ﻳُﺒَﻴِّﻦُ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﺍٰﻳٰﺘِﻪٖ ﻟِﻠﻨَّﺎﺱِ
ﻟَﻌَﻠَّﻬُﻢْ ﻳَﺘَّﻘُﻮْﻥَ
uḥilla lakum lailataṣ-ṣiyāmir-rafaṡu ilā
nisā`ikum, hunna libāsul lakum wa antum
libāsul lahunn, 'alimallāhu annakum kuntum
takhtānụna anfusakum fa tāba 'alaikum wa
'afā 'angkum, fal-āna bāsyirụhunna wabtagụ
mā kataballāhu lakum, wa kulụ wasyrabụ
ḥattā yatabayyana lakumul-khaiṭul-abyaḍu
minal-khaiṭil-aswadi minal-fajr, ṡumma
atimmuṣ-ṣiyāma ilal-laīl, wa lā
tubāsyirụhunna wa antum 'ākifụna fil-masājid,
tilka ḥudụdullāhi fa lā taqrabụhā, każālika
yubayyinullāhu āyātihī lin-nāsi la'allahum
yattaqụn
It is permissible for you on the night of fasting to
mix with your wife. They are clothing for you, and
you are clothing for them. God knows that you
cannot restrain yourself, but He accepts your
repentance and forgives you. So now mix them and
seek what God has ordained for you. Eat and drink
until it is clear to you (the difference) between the
white thread and the black thread, which is dawn.
Then complete the fast until (come) night. But do
not interfere with them, when you perform rik'ah in
the mosque. That is the decree of Allah, so do not
approach it. Thus doth Allah make clear His
communications unto men, that haply they may
guard (against evil).
188
ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺗَﺄْﻛُﻠُﻮْٓﺍ ﺍَﻣْﻮَﺍﻟَﻜُﻢْ ﺑَﻴْﻨَﻜُﻢْ ﺑِﺎﻟْﺒَﺎﻃِﻞِ ﻭَﺗُﺪْﻟُﻮْﺍ
ﺑِﻬَﺎٓ ﺍِﻟَﻰ ﺍﻟْﺤُﻜَّﺎﻡِ ﻟِﺘَﺄْﻛُﻠُﻮْﺍ ﻓَﺮِﻳْﻘًﺎ ﻣِّﻦْ ﺍَﻣْﻮَﺍﻝِ
ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺱِ ﺑِﺎﻟْﺎِﺛْﻢِ ﻭَﺍَﻧْﺘُﻢْ ﺗَﻌْﻠَﻤُﻮْﻥَ
wa lā ta`kulū amwālakum bainakum bil-bāṭili
wa tudlụ bihā ilal-ḥukkāmi lita`kulụ farīqam
min amwālin-nāsi bil-iṡmi wa antum ta'lamụn
And do not eat the wealth among yourselves in a
false way, and (do not) bribe the judges with it,
with the intention that you may eat up some of the
wealth of others by way of sin, even though you
know.
189
۞ ﻳَﺴـَٔﻠُﻮْﻧَﻚَ ﻋَﻦِ ﺍﻟْﺎَﻫِﻠَّﺔِ ۗ ﻗُﻞْ ﻫِﻲَ ﻣَﻮَﺍﻗِﻴْﺖُ
ﻟِﻠﻨَّﺎﺱِ ﻭَﺍﻟْﺤَﺞِّ ۗ ﻭَﻟَﻴْﺲَ ﺍﻟْﺒِﺮُّ ﺑِﺎَﻥْ ﺗَﺄْﺗُﻮﺍ
ﺍﻟْﺒُﻴُﻮْﺕَ ﻣِﻦْ ﻇُﻬُﻮْﺭِﻫَﺎ ﻭَﻟٰﻜِﻦَّ ﺍﻟْﺒِﺮَّ ﻣَﻦِ ﺍﺗَّﻘٰﻰۚ
ﻭَﺃْﺗُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟْﺒُﻴُﻮْﺕَ ﻣِﻦْ ﺍَﺑْﻮَﺍﺑِﻬَﺎ ۖ ﻭَﺍﺗَّﻘُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ
ﻟَﻌَﻠَّﻜُﻢْ ﺗُﻔْﻠِﺤُﻮْﻥَ
yas`alụnaka 'anil-ahillah, qul hiya mawāqītu
lin-nāsi wal-ḥajj, wa laisal-birru bi`an ta`tul-
buyụta min ẓuhụrihā wa lākinnal-birra
manittaqā, wa`tul-buyụta min abwābihā
wattaqullāha la'allakum tufliḥụn
They ask you (Muhammad) about the crescent
moon. Say, "That is (a sign) of time for mankind
and (worship) of Hajj." And it is not a virtue to
enter the house from above, but virtue is (virtue) of
the pious. Enter houses from their gates, and fear
Allah that ye may prosper.
190
ﻭَﻗَﺎﺗِﻠُﻮْﺍ ﻓِﻲْ ﺳَﺒِﻴْﻞِ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﻳُﻘَﺎﺗِﻠُﻮْﻧَﻜُﻢْ
ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺗَﻌْﺘَﺪُﻭْﺍ ۗ ﺍِﻥَّ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﻟَﺎ ﻳُﺤِﺐُّ ﺍﻟْﻤُﻌْﺘَﺪِﻳْﻦَ
wa qātilụ fī sabīlillāhillażīna yuqātilụnakum
wa lā ta'tadụ, innallāha lā yuḥibbul-mu'tadīn
And fight in the way of Allah those who fight you,
but do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like
those who transgress.
